La Tzoumaz is a tranquil Swiss village that clings to the side of the Savoleyres Mountain with stunning views, high above the Rhone Valley. Linked directly to Verbier with a new (for winter 2007/8) high speed gondola for access into the whole 4 Vallées ski domain. The ski area boasts some of the best skiing in Europe and you can ski straight back to the village on easy blue runs or down the itinerary run Vallon d’Arby.
From the Savoleyres top station you can sledge down the 10km toboggan run through the trees back to the village (most definitely not just for the children!).
In the spring, summer and autumn there are fantastic walking routes along the “Bisse”, the ancient Saxon irrigation system as well as some far more demanding hiking into the high mountains.
There is a new Bike Park with graded tracks and northshore accessed from the top of Savoleyres using the gondola, alongside this, purpose built downhill courses have been built in the Kona BikePark.
There is golf close by with mountain courses in Verbier or you could opt to play one of the courses in the valley bottom. There is also fishing to be had in some of the local rivers and lakes.
The village offers everything that you might need – shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a tennis court, an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor ice skating rink (winter only!).
Slightly further afield other options include cosmopolitan shopping in Martigny and Sion, spa at Saillon, art at the Fondation Gianadda, the ancient monastries of Château de Valère and Château de Tourbillon are situated on twin rock outcrops over looking Sion.
La Tzoumaz is a true "family" sector, filled with long, winding slopes to suit all levels of ability. Those looking for a challenge can try the competition runs and for pure fun, venture out on the longest sledge run in western Switzerland, with more than 10km of twists and turns!
Non-skiers
The Val de Bagnes is home to nearly 45 km of snowshoeing trails, divided up into 9 itineraries.
These itineraries, of varying levels of difficulty, are marked according to the official system stated by the Swiss Snowshoe Federation.
Set your sights on the La Chaux sector, where you can be at one with nature and benefit from idyllic panoramic views of the Combins. Its central location at the very heart of the domain will make it easy to meet up with your family or skiing friends.
Getting to La Tzoumaz
The resort of La Tzoumaz, a full-fledged member of the "4 Vallées", can be quickly accessed from the motorway exit in Riddes. The resort can also be easily reached from Verbier via the Savoleyres sector.

THE PROJECT
La Tzoumaz Verbier Nord
8 chalets planned:
- 2 Edelweiss
- 3 Campanule
- 3 Myosotis
It is possible to buy 2 chalets and have just a bigger or a chalet on a bigger plot also for foreigners because all authorizations have been given.
La Tzoumaz Verbier Nord is nestled in a pretty, green side valley on the left side of the Rhone at an altitude of 1500m. The valley lies about halfway between Martigny and Sion.
La Tzoumaz Verbier Nord is ideally situated for winter sports. As a valley station of the Savoleyres cable-car it allows access to magnificent runs where it is possible to ski until the end of April. A wide variety of ski tows, chair lifts and cable-cars, provide connections to Verbier and other resorts in the 4 Valleys region. It forms one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland offering over 400 km of runs and 100 lift installations
The chalets are located approximate 3 minutes from the centre of La Tzoumaz and the
ski lifts (to Verbier ski area and Verbier city center) at the entrance of this village with wonderful panoramic views over the Alps and the Rhone Valley.
Bare in mind that Verbier is overbooked, only very few plots and the city can’t grow up anymore so thanks to the lift you can live in a quiet place and you can reach Verbier city center in 15 minutes all year long and get all the shops, restaurants, Disco’s.
